NWFD Fire District boundries

The New Woodstock Fire District

The New Woodstock Volunteer Fire Department is responsible for responding to all fire and rescue emergencies within an approximately 30-square-mile district.

If you live within our Fire District and call 911 to report an emergency, the Madison County 911 Center, located in Wampsville, New York, will dispatch our department. Members are alerted through personal electronic pagers, text messaging, and by activation of the fire siren located at the firehouse.

This system ensures our volunteers are notified quickly so they can respond promptly to emergencies and provide assistance to our community.

Our Facilities

Our main fire station is located on Mill Street and houses our four in-service fire apparatus, along with a fully equipped kitchen, large meeting room, and office space.

Across the street, we also own a single-door masonry building that houses our first motorized pumper, a 1928 Buffalo. This historic apparatus is proudly maintained by the department and is often entered in local parades and community events.

Saving Lives & Property Since 1913

The New Woodstock Volunteer Fire Department is always looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as firefighters, medical personnel, or operators.

If you are interested in serving your community and making a difference, we encourage you to contact us. Our members would be glad to discuss the many benefits, training opportunities, and rewards of volunteering with our department.
